Born and raised in Daytona Beach, I was exposed to all forms of country music and yacht rock, but what really drew me into music was the influence of classic rock from the late 50s to the mid-70s. Bands like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix, and The Rolling Stones shaped my musical taste and identity.
In third grade, I stumbled upon a trumpet in my grandparents' house, and I learned how to play it. Throughout my school years, I played the trumpet in numerous jazz bands and classical groups. By college, I transitioned to piano, guitar, and bass.
After High School I went to college up in Jacksonville at The University of North Florida, where I studied audio production and did a double degree in performance as well. When covid hit the states, it was my second semester in my Junior year and we all were forced to leave the campus; I went back home where I started to grow my musical taste even more. At the time I had around 700 vinyl from when I first started collecting which was around 12, but the collection just kept growing.
Four years ago, I made a significant move to New York right after graduating and I was doing street art scene. After 2 years I started going down other avenues of creativity and veered towards teaching music; I began working with students ranging from kindergarten to high school.
Now, my days are filled with the dual roles of producing music and educating young minds. I love sharing music with everyone because when you can get a multitude of feelings and emotions from a song, it become apart of you and your story which I find to be incredibly powerful. My collection of vinyl enriches my personal life and serves as a valuable resource in my teaching, bridging the gap between past and present musical experiences. The fusion of collecting, teaching, and music production reflects my profound dedication to my craft and my desire to inspire the next generation of musicians.
I started DJing last year in September and have loved every second of it, some places that I’ve spun at include: Silence Please, Kissa KIssa, Tokyo Record Bar, Bierwax, Lovely Day, Aftermath NYC, Mathilde, Filthy Diamond, NBetween, Funny Bar and Laziza.
The end goal is to share and create a space where people can not only feel comfortable but, also have music enrich your mind and create new feelings or old ones that were buried deep down. Music is a universal language and I believe that we all have the power to share a piece of ourselves through what we listen to.
